How Does 'Quick Edit' Mode Differ From 'Advanced Edit'?

"Quick Edit" mode is for easy, code-free editing. Simply fill out some basic fields, and your page will be auto-created for you. There are fewer module and theme options than in "Advanced Edit" mode, but it is a faster way to create and modify pages.

"Advanced Edit" mode allows you to move modules anywhere you want on your page, and you can also write your own code. It's more involved, but gives you greater control.

Your Buddy Gallery will automatically be regenerated to match the new format. What that means is that you'll have to re-add your buddies from your Buddy List. You can choose to add all of your Buddy List, or enter the screen names individually.
